All & everything finally closing in on me like an excruciating halse

My passion for poetry began in my Notes app, where I started capturing fragments of thought—small reflections, passing emotions, and observations of the world around me. What began as a habit in self-understanding gradually grew into a creative practice. Over the past three years, I’ve built a body of work that blends poetry, photography, and visual art. This culminated in a pop-up gallery I curated during Christmas break, offering an engaging space where words and images came together to tell stories of vulnerability, memory, and perception.

My work centers on themes of vulnerability and grief—emotions often overlooked in a fast-paced world that rarely allows space for reflection or healing. This exhibit, featuring 13 poems, 3 original artworks, and 12 photographs, was a dream come true. It offered me not only a platform to share my creative voice, but also the rare chance to connect with viewers on an intimate level. At the final station, guests were invited to leave written reflections on note cards, and received a small tote bag as a token of appreciation. My hope is that this experience encouraged each of us to take a breath, reflect, and embrace the emotions we’re often taught to ignore.
